You can learn anything by practicing and if you are taking time then don’t worry your hard work will pay off. No one is born as an expert; everyone works in direction to develop skills & sharp up their talent with hard work & patience. To become an expert you need to begin and firstly learn to work hard at developing the game. Here are some tips to develop great skills to learn solid disc golf game and having it is more fun & enjoyable:

Select right disc

Choosing a right disc is quite confusing for the newbie. Finding the one is great so they will have success with it. If you are a beginner, you should select a disc with lighter weight so the disc will fly straight & have good glide. Choosing a heavy disc might put you in troubling situation; you may find choosing a heavy or overstable disc will be heavy to control. It can lead you to frustrating round.

Develop good technique

When you get the chance to met expert players, you will realize that the proper techniques & accuracy comes with proper techniques, moves & motion. Rather the new player’s focus on holding the disc flat rather trying to attempt to rip long drives. When you establish the talent of holding, releasing and maintaining grip you will ride long.

Drive for distance

There are two driving techniques, the most common is “Reach back method” and another one is “bent elbow technique”. Working with these techniques successfully depends on your body shape & ability level.

Driving Grip

Initially, you need to start working with gripping, gripping the disc is essential when you begin to throw the discs. There must be some guidelines to grip the disc and later you need to modify it. You should be using a grip that has 4 fingers under disc and your grip should be firm and the disc should rip out from the hand rather than slipping out.

Footwork

Footwork and balance are the key features to decide the success and failure. You should work in context to maintain the gravity and balance consistently to attain success, otherwise, it is difficult to achieve without compensating in other sections.

You should also work for reach back, pull through, and follow through, disc selection for driving & balancing. You just need to practice and have fun with it. Don’t underestimate yourself by seeing the experts’ balance, distance & motion compatibility.
