Start with leash training

Take the first run slow

When your pet is ready to walking routine, slowly introduce the first run. Take a step ahead and begin with an average speed walk, insert a few minutes of slow run from time to time. Don’t take first running more than a mile. Make a check on dog’s condition. Be ready with water if he lays down in exhaustion, it’s time to stop.

Build up endurance

Your furry friends need to be properly conditioned to build up endurance for daily runs. Once your pet becomes used to of daily routines then walk less and run more until he doesn’t need walking no longer and pick up the pace as time goes by.
