Bob Simonds is a famous entrepreneur and film producer who serves as the chairman and CEO of STX Entertainment, a fully integrated entertainment company. In the deal, DNEG will exclusively give post-production VFX and 3D conversion services to STXsurreal for at least six projects. STX is revolutionizing its idea to create premium, original, narrative VR content with the SURREAL channel. With the help of DNEG, it will make optimum utilization of the Oscar-winning visual effects expertise and provide a truly cinematic and high-quality immersive experience to the audiences. The original VR programming is being created in a fully new format in order to bridge the gap between traditional widescreen and 360-degree video. The channel will start with a live-action, short-form virtual reality series THE LIMIT.
