Grooming

Regular brushing is essential if you kept its hair long and cutting should be done on regular basis if you choose to maintain short hair.

You should train and housebreak your puppy. But you need to be patient and calm in between the process of housebreaking. Many pet owner’s states that their Yorkshire doesn’t take much time in training process and learn soon. While on another side it takes a lot of time to train them. You should stay positive during training process even if it’s taking time.

Barking

Terriers are protective, loyal and vocal to their family and owners which often turns them into natural barkers. But you can resolve constant barking issue by training them properly and making them familiar with normal things.

Yorkshire terrier is small in size but they have proved themselves as a smart and attentive guard dogs.

Anxiety tendency

The breed is too affectionate & sweet and develops a great bond with their companion. So they don’t like to live alone and develops high separation anxiety. They like to spend time alone and if left alone, they would start barking & chewing things. So you should be careful about it.
