Flight attendants job is blissful, wonderful, hard and difficult to succeed. Some people wish to get the flight attendants job and even work harder to get it. But, you should know about it before chasing it as a career. A flight attendant faces many difficulties as well as experience the moment of happiness by living an aviation life. If you are interested in joining the airline, here I am listing down the most significant difficulties you'll be facing in my opinion while weighing the pros & cons together like issues and happy times:

The nature of the job

It seems like flying high above the sky turn your wishes into reality, but it is not like that. Anatomically we are not made to fly 40000 ft above the sea, and it is abnormal. But flight attendants work overnight, cross several time zones, face trouble in sleeping due to jet lag, under the risk of crew fatigue, confronted with several issues adapting the high altitude changes and most of the time you become exhausted.

No fix timetables

Aviation demands flexibility in duty, and there is no Monday to Friday working schedule or holidays on the weekend. Many times you need to work on night shifts, holidays, weekends or 3 AM duty. Just because of this you need to take rest during 20:00 PM. These irregular schedules can disturb your physical as well mental health.

Customer service skills

Customer service is all about fun when things work well between passengers and flight attendants. Until any issue occurs, the problem might begin due to a rude attitude of passenger or lack of mood to provide great services by flight attendants. A flight attendant should keep herself polite, patient and diplomatic. Due to lack of these virtues, customer services become a dark hole. After security, customer service should be the primary concern of a flight attendant. So you should behave politely to deal awkward situations.

Adaptability

Don't misunderstand that flight attendant is an easy job made for everyone or they are just the waiters of the sky. You need to combine its overnight working schedules to your regular life. It's a completely different life style, and you will have to adjust your whole life around it.

The lonely times

It is a blessing as well as a curse. You may love to spend time alone, or in another way, it can hurt you quite. Being a flight attendant you will see the places all around the world, and one may not get a chance. But there are times when you face loneliness whether you are flying on a crew to Paris.

A flight attendant job is not as easy as you imagine, they face such problems for the lifetime. But they do have happy times that others dream for.
