Set the proper form

You need to keep the cue in proper form and check the position. Hold the thick end of the cue in the dominant hand and evenly balance it. Then grip the cue from the front and make a circle using thumb and index finger. Rest the hand on your middle finger and then spreads the pinky, middle & ring finger for support. Place the core of your hand on the table and lift other hand slightly on higher level.

Assume the stance set the position of your foot and turn your body slightly and maintain gap between your body & table.

Strike the ball

Brush the chalk on the cue point using paint brush but don’t chalk on the cue. To establish the maximum control you should hold the cue parallel to table.

Speed up the cue gradually

While targeting the ball, speed up the cue moving your arm and hit the ball with momentum rather than hitting it with quick strike.

Keep the target straight & relaxed

Keep in mind that the cue will not slow down before hitting the target.

Stay down after the shot

It will allow you to observe the angle of the ball. Practice striking the ball without striking and making jump of it.

Practice to perfect the aim

Imagine the ball you want to sink into the pocket and place your cue above target ball. Keep the cue tip on the table and practice hitting the ball and set the shot as you calculated.
