Facebook will get an access to WhatsApp Information

Privacy is one of the most important things for people and they will never be get negotiated in that particular aspect. There are many different kinds of applications and each one of it has its own terms and conditions. Apart from that aspect, there is a privacy policy as well which the company maintains. When a user accepts the conditions that mean they are willing to provide the requested information.

This is what all the organizations have in their privacy policy when the user is signing up for their service. It is made clear to the user the information which is being shared will be done on different mediums in certain instances. Technology is something which is at present ruling the world and we can expect that it has become a norm with the changing trends.

There was a time when people used to wait for days to be able to receive a letter from the other part of the world to maintain the connections without near and dear ones. Now, when we look back at those times it feels so old and we are at present moving towards the generation of Millennials.

We can see that the people have upgraded themselves to an extent that it has become hard for one to survive without the technology. They have become dependent on it as it is helping them to stay up-to-date with the world and perform their tasks in a better way. At present, almost everyone possesses a smart device or gadget and one of the predominantly used apps is WhatsApp.

People are staying connected with the families and friends who are across countries and oceans. It has helped people to get closer and maintain a good relationship with innumerable messaging. The app is appreciated for the privacy policy which it has maintained so far. Unfortunately, the company has updated the privacy policy terms and it is said that the social network site Facebook will be having an access to the information of the user.

When the app was first introduced, it was made clear as the blue sky that, none of the information will be shared with any third party and WhatsApp itself. This is how it has been for years since the time the app was launched for the public to use. Over the years, Facebook acquired WhatsApp in 2014 and it is said that the update of the privacy is done after 4 years now.

Now the privacy terms say that there will be sharing of information to Facebook to give its users better experience. All these years the messaging app has been working for a non-profit, the app is for free for the users. It was clear that the company was trying to have the users connected with their families and friends. WhatsApp is now backed by Facebook and we can see that the company is in an attempt to make a profit.

It is said that there was a request made by the European Union requesting WhatsApp not to share information with Facebook. The main reason behind this was, people were not aware of the fact on how the information is being shared and what are the information being shared? But, it is said that the coins would flip sides and it would in favor of both the organizations.

The lead regulator of EU for privacy issues with Facebook, Helen Dixon stated that they are in terms with the companies and things might change. She said that they are in talks with the companies for the information which is being shared through an app to the site, it is essential that they are clear with it. It is said that they are in progress and we can expect that the final result would in favor of the companies.

Though the officials are still in talks, they are not yet sure enough of the fact on what is all the information which will be shared. But, it is said that the personal information like phone numbers might be shared and the amount of usage of the app as well. This information will be linked to their profile on Facebook, depending on this; there will be advertisements on the app.

When the social networking site will be able to get more access to the information, it will be easier for them to make a good business out of it. But, this is something which the users are really not happy with it. A recent incident when a terrorist attack occurred in London, it was said that the terrorist used WhatsApp, as the messages are encrypted on it.

This led to speculations against the company, stating that the encryption of the messages has led to something this disastrous. On the other, in German, the messaging company was sacked as the users were not glad about the fact of sharing their information on Facebook and has neglected the fact of assuring the users of the privacy which the company obliged to follow.

When Facebook acquired WhatsApp, it initially stated that there will be no intrusion with the privacy policy of the app. But, now it doesn’t seem to be the same, we can see that the company has brought in changes. The latter made a clearly stated that the user’s privacy is ingrained in their DNA and that is what they would follow.

WhatsApp aim was to fetch the least possible information of the user and here it is sharing it with the giant of social networking. On the flip side, it is said that the Messenger app of Facebook has reached the mark 1.2 billion active users which WhatsApp has. Both the companies are in attempts to outdo each other, though one is being backed by the other.

With their mark, it is clear that there is head on with the world-renowned messaging app. Right from the moment the messenger app has been moved out of Facebook we can that there are a lot of changes happening in the app. It is said that there is no need for the user to have a Facebook account to be able to use the app. They have the option to use the app even with their phone number as well.

It is evident that there have been many improvisations in the app and that is one of the prominent reasons why people have started to use the app. The app has almost filled its user base with around 200 million users in a span of 8 months, which has led them to the 1.2 billion mark similar to WhatsApp. There is a particular feature which has been added to the app, of uploading videos, images or gifs which will last for 24 hours.

In the end, it is clear that the company is going to receive a green signal to go ahead with the sharing of information from WhatsApp. We can expect that there will different kinds of reactions from the users as it is a matter of privacy. There are millions of users who might not be acknowledging this sharing. WhatsApp in the recent has been bringing many different feature updates and we can expect in no time, even this feature will be updated as well. Facebook and WhatsApp are in this together and they are definitely going to make a great business.
